“Girls,”
my Dad would say,
“some of the best advice I ever received was from my 3rd grade teacher. She always used to say, ‘love many, trust few, learn to paddle your own canoe."
I’m the baby of three girls. I’m not sure a month went by growing up, where my dad didn’t remind us of this important advice.
Dad was adamant about us being able to take care of ourselves. To be independent, to be bold, and to find comfort in taking the road less traveled.  He loved to remind us to, "Learn to paddle your own canoe"
When I came across this sign, I knew we had to have it at Homebody. Not only did it remind me of Dad and his favorite saying, but also of New Hampshire and our beautiful lakes and mountains!
Don’t you agree we are blessed with it all in Concord? Hop in the car, and it’s an hour south to Boston, and an hour north to our gorgeous White Mountains! Not to mention all the beautiful lakes in between. As we head into Memorial Day Weekend, come find some darling lake house decor to kick off our summer season!
This is your homebody telling you to get outside and EXPLORE our beautiful state!
