ℍ𝕦𝕞𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕘𝕚𝕟𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤…

At first I hesitated sharing these pictures.

A messy closet.

A completely disorganized inventory system.

A “shipping department” that is currently stored behind an ironing board in my guest bedroom.

But I am sharing these with you because everybody has a day they begin. A starting point. A chaotic chapter one that leads to a smoother chapter two.

I have a huge vision of where I will take Homebody. So, as I sit on this floor, celebrating that someday soon all of these amazing goodies will be on display in my dream store, I know I have created my “before” picture.

If you’re out there, sitting on an idea, waiting for the perfect moment, or “someday’ing” your dream, do me a favor and think for a minute.

Why are you hesitating?

Is it fear based? I hear you. The decision to make a massive career jump did not come lightly.

You care what people will think? YUP. “Wait, you’re an engineer…now you’re opening a shop that sells dried flowers and baby teethers?”

Those were my big two, but here’s what I realized. There is a GIANT net out there waiting to appear for you when you decide to get brave and jump.

And the people watching? The people questioning? That’s ok! Let them! Their opinions are none of your business anyways.

Today, I am sitting on this floor of my messy room, starting chapter one, and hoping you will too.

I know it’s scary, but if this introverted homebody can do this, so can YOU.
