A few years ago, my sisters and I started a new tradition. After spending the actual Thanksgiving holiday with other family, we were coming together the next day to celebrate with our three families.
It all started when one of us asked โ€œdo we really want to prep a full Thanksgiving feast right after we all just had it the day before?โ€
To some of you, the answer may be an enthusiastic โ€œYES!โ€ but for this homebody, the idea of hosting a different themed meal sounded enticing.
Are you hosting (or attending) multiple Thanksgiving celebrations this year? Or maybe a Thanksgiving celebration withย your family, plus a friendsgiving?

If you're starting to dread the idea of back-to- back turkey feasts, consider getting a little creative with one of your celebrations.
This year, my sisters and I are bringing back Texas BBQ for our Thanksgiving! We order ahead from our favorite BBQ restaurant in Austin, TX (Black's BBQ!), and then we make all the sides and dessert. It still feels like a holiday celebration, as our table is covered in special occasion food, but we arenโ€™t bursting at the seams with mashed potato.
Ok, letโ€™s hear it.
Are you more of a the-limit-does-not-exist Thanksgiving meal enthusiast, or are you happy to have any delicious food to enjoy around the table with your family?
