SIGNS ARE UP!

It’s not everyday that you experience your very real and official boutique signs being hung for the first time.

To some people, this may just look like a fun summer project. To others, you may assume I have a background in retail, home decor and business owning.

Take a few steps back with me.

Because today I want you to understand that if you have a dream, you can make it a reality.

Little Cal: Loves to bake and give gifts in the form of food & hand written letters.

School-aged Cal: Realizes she’s strong in math & science. That’ll make a great

career. The path towards engineering has begun.

Post-school Cal: Baking gets better. Event planning becomes a passion. Excels in DIY projects, home decor and gifting. Engineering continues to be an enjoyable career, but a new tug is very strong.

Adult Cal: Reads hundreds of books, finds a mentor, researches, surrounds herself with a tribe of support and love, focuses her goal.

Today Cal: This girl is brave. She lives outside her comfort zone. She walks through the doors of her engineering job for the last time. She realizes life is short, and to live BIG. Store signs go up, as the days until opening go down.

To my future Homebody shoppers:

I am SO excited for you to walk through my doors and enjoy the products I have selected for you. But honestly? I am MORE excited for you to hear this story, see my storefront, and realize that there is something placed on your heart today that is meant for you.
