I’ve always been a homebody. As a kid, I got homesick easily, and “failed” more than a few sleepovers (sorry Mom and Dad for the late night requests for a ride!) Those homesick feelings gave me an early desire to make other people feel at home when I was the host.
My first experiences as a “host” started when I was ten and my oldest sister was sixteen. She and her friends were having a movie night at our house, and I thought it would be fun to surprise them with a treat. I still remember excitedly knocking on her bedroom door with my hot plate of homemade brownies.
Fast forward a couple decades, and I’ve turned that childhood wish into my dream career. At Homebody, you’re always home.
As I read through these recent reviews of our shop, I think it’s safe to say that I have made my 10-year-old self proud. To a small business owner, nothing excites us more than happy customers.
